Resident Fellows for 2010 – 2011

Each year, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center offers a limited number of research stipends to bring promising and established western scholars to the Center for one to five months. During this time, the scholars research, write, and develop ideas and manuscripts that expand the horizon of western studies. Listed below are the 2010 – 2011 Resident Fellows.

Angela DeMontigny

20 years experience in all aspects of the fashion industry from designing, manufacturing and marketing own line of apparel and accessories for wholesale and retail markets to creating, buying, merchandising, and marketing for own boutique; producing, coordinating, and exhibiting in international trade shows and producing fashion-related shows/events.

Successful experience developing: a Canadian label based on cultural influences, original, high-end, designer products made in Canada, international fashion events, independent manufacturing facility and human resource training, community related projects, fundraising for culturally based programs, and promoting positive role models for Native youth.

Formulated strategic alliances with Canadian government, media, national and international Indigenous and industry networks.
