Photographic Services - Image Reproduction Policy

Reproduction images of items in the Buffalo Bill Historical Center’s collections shall be under the management of the Photograph Rights & Reproductions Office. Reproduction services are offered to make Buffalo Bill Historical Center material as widely available as possible.

All image reproductions are under contract, with the purpose for the reproduced image stated. All image orders, either for digital file or reproduction prints, are prepaid and all sales are final.

Images are reproduced for commercial, non-profit, and study or personal use. Use fees are based upon the proposed purpose for the image(s); any incurred processing fees are based upon the cost of scanning or photography associated with the request. All agreements concerning the cost of use, reproduction, processing, or waived fees between the BBHC and anyone requesting image reproductions will be made solely by the Photograph Rights & Reproductions Office.

Delivery time varies with the size and complexity of the order, availability of the material, and the institution’s work schedule. Every effort is made to complete orders within 3-4 weeks.

The Buffalo Bill Historical Center reserves the right to deny permission to any applicant whose product is not acceptable to the BBHC for any reason.
