Buffalo Girls Luncheon

Tuesday, October 28, 2008
12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
John Bunker Sands Photography Gallery

Women of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center Patrons Association are invited to attend a special Buffalo Girls Luncheon and presentation on October 28, 2008.

Montana author Dee Marvine discusses the colorful life of Fanny Sperry Steele (1887-1983). Her book, The Lady Rode Bucking Horses, tells the story of Steele's long and remarkable life. Some of Steele's achievements included competing on bucking broncos; racing Thoroughbreds with the Montana Girls relay team; organizing a Wild West Show with cowboy husband Bill Steele; performing with the likes of Buffalo Bill Cody; becoming the first Montana woman to be licensed as a wilderness outfitter; and being named a charter member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame.

Break away from an ordinary lunch hour with distinctive fare, an interesting talk, and good company in the John Bunker Sands Photography Gallery.
