Western Studies in the Real West - Presented by the Cody Institute for Western American Studies
Come to the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming!
For a one-week graduate level course that celebrates the reinstallation of the Whitney Gallery of Western Art for its 50th Anniversary.
A combination of scholars provide instruction on multiple perspectives of western American art. This thematic approach to art includes: western landscape, American Indians, cowboys, and wildlife in art.

Academic credit is given by the Montana State University. Continuing education credits are also available for Wyoming teachers through the Professional Standards Teaching Board. If
students choose to earn credit through their own universities or colleges,

Students are responsible for their own lodging. A descriptive list
of places to stay (motels, lodges, campgrounds, R.V. parks) is available upon request. Affordable housing can be secured, but reservations should be made early.

Larom Summer Institute Information
Tuition is $275 per attendee, or $225 for students and Buffalo Bill Historical Center members. This course has limited enrollment, and seats fill up fast. The Buffalo Bill Historical Center reserves the right to cancel and/or change classes.
