Just over a century ago, William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody dreamed of an institution that would "teach people by seeing history." His dream is realized here at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, the town he founded and that bears his name, where the collection of Western objects, papers, images, and art is unmatched. We beleive the Spirit of the American West defines the spirit of our nation and we bring that spirit to life through our programs and collections.
