The collections of the Whitney Gallery of Western Art present a panorama of art about the American West, commemorating the events, people, and the landscape of the Rocky Mountain region. Masterworks in the collection span from the early nineteenth century to contemporary times.
The reconstructed studios of Frederic Remington and Alexander Phimister Proctor, as well as the original studio cabin of Joseph Henry Sharp, provide visitors an uncommon opportunity to see the artist's work environment and discover their process of creation.
