We have a winner!

Congratulations to Evan Copsey of Missouri, the winner of year's raffle car—a 1978 'Smokey-and-the-Bandit-themed Trans Am.

"Smokey and The Bandit was just a lark," actor Jerry Reed said about the 1977 movie in which he starred with Burt Reynolds, who played Bandit. "All we did was run up and down those Georgia roads wrecking cars and having the time of our life."

Each year, the all-volunteer Buffalo Bill Historical Center's Patrons Ball committee works hard to locate a unique automobile as a raffle item. 2011's choice was this Smokey and the Bandit-themed 1978 Pontiac Trans Am.

All proceeds from our raffle cars benefit the programs and activities of the Historical Center. Patrons Ball is the finale of Rendezvous Royale week in Cody, Wyoming. Read more at www.rendezvousroyale.org.
