Chuckwagon cooking demonstrations

Monday through Saturday through August 31, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sample Dutch oven biscuits and fire roasted beans. Front lawn of the Center.

August 27: Backstage with Buffalo Bill's Wild West. By Buffalo Bill Museum Curator John Rumm, 12:15 p.m. in the Coe Auditorium. Included in admission.

August 28: Sold Out! Membership Day Trip: Tour to the Hoodoo Ranch, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Led by local historian Bob Richard, the tour takes Historical Center members to the Hoodoo's headquarters as well as Bear Creek, Carter, and Frost ranches. September 16: Center hours change to 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.

September 18: National Endowment for the Humanities Chair James Leach lecture, Civility in a Fractured Society, 7:30 p.m. Free.

September 21 – 25: Rendezvous Royale: Immerse yourself in the arts. One of the best times you'll find in the West. It's a week that delivers excitement, elegance, and outstanding art in three affiliated events: Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale, Cody High Style, and Patrons Ball. November 1: Center hours change to 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.

November 6: CFM Records Office open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. mountain daylight time for coverage of Big Reno/Winchester Arms Collectors Association Annual West Coast Show, Nevada.

November 13: CFM Records Office open 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. mountain standard time for coverage of Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

November 25: Center closed for Thanksgiving day.

December events and programs

December 1: Center hours change to 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday – Sunday. Closed Monday – Wednesday.

December 4: Holiday Open House, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Bring your family and friends to start the holidays with a festive day featuring music and dance performances, Santa, cookies, and special holiday displays and programs. Free public event.

December 11: CFM Records Office open 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. mountain standard time for coverage of National Gun Day, Louisville, Kentucky.

Extended holiday hours: On December 20 – 22, and December 27 – 29 (Mondays – Wednesdays when the Center is normally closed in the winter), the Center will open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. to accommodate holiday season visitors. Therefore, the Center is open each day December 16 – December 31 except for Christmas day.

December 25: Center closed for Christmas day.
