Museum Adventures Guidelines · Museum Adventure programs consist of duplicate sessions over one or two days. Please register for the session time that best fits your schedule. American Indian Heritage CelebrationCelebrate the history and cultural traditions of American Indian peoples through storytelling, demonstrations, and performances. These sessions are offered for grades 3 - 5 only. Registration deadline is October 1, 2007. $2 per student.
Buffalo Bill's Birthday CelebrationHonor the namesake of The Buffalo Bill Historical Center. With hands-on activities and live performances, students have fun and learn about the life of Buffalo Bill and the history of the West. These sessions are offered for grades 3 - 5 only. Registration deadline is February 1, 2008. $2 per student. Addresses State Standards 4.4.2 (K-4)
Cowboy Songs and Range TraditionsEnjoy traditional cowboy music at its best as students attend performances by professional singers/songwriters. Through songs and interactive demonstrations, students learn about the cowboy culture. These sessions are offered for grade 3 - 5 only. Registration deadline is March 15, 2008. $2 per student. Greater Yellowstone AdventureExplore and discover the natural history of the Greater Yellowstone region at the Draper Museum of Natural History.Through interactive and hands-on demonstrations, activities, and programs, learn about the plants, animals, and geology that make this region unique. These sessions are offered for grade 3 - 5 only. Registration deadline is April 1, 2008. $2 per student.Addresses State Standards in Science.
NEW! Art Life Museum AdventureLooking for new ways to celebrate art? Professional artists share their talents through artistic example, hands-on art activities, and relevant experiences. Students learn how to appreciate art, take a tour of the galleries, and practice their art in fun, creative and relevant workshops. Grades 9-12 only. $4 per student. Supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes a great nation deserves great art. Addresses State Standards FA.11.1.1, 11.21-2, 11.4.1, 11.4.3
NEW! Young Explorers: I Spy ArtSpecifically designed for younger grades. Children have a great time discovering their inner artist through an art scavenger hunt, art projects, and learning how art influences their lives. Grades K-2. Deadline for registration is November 1, 2007. $2 per student. Adresses State Benchmarks 4.1.1 (K-2), 4.4.1 (K-2), FA.4.1.3(2), FA.4.3.1(2)
