Yellowstone Art Contest

In conjunction with the Whitney Gallery of Western Art's 50th Anniversary Celebration

For all Wyoming students grades K – 12

Create a picture depicting Yellowstone National Park - it's all about your own ideas and how you view the Park!

Artwork is judged in the following four age categories:

Kindergarten through 2nd grades
3rd through 5th grades
6th through 8th grades
9th through 12th grades

What about the the Prizes?!

$500 grand prize for overall best artwork
$300 first place prize in each age category
$200 second place prize in each age category
$125 third place prize in each age category

All participants complying with the rules receive a certificate for participating.

  • Top 50 pieces selected are displayed in the Kriendler Gallery of the Whitney Gallery of Western Art in the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.
  • Artwork is accepted from March 15, 2009 to April 15, 2009.
  • You may request art paper to be sent to you.
