Photography Department
PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN
Overview: Student is able to participate in a working photography studio environment, and experience the realistic demands of a photographer in a professional setting by filling work requests in a timely manner and delivering quality work.
Level of Responsibility:
Reports to: Photography Manager
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Scans photographic prints and transparencies for use in printed publications .
· Retouches photographic scans digitally.
· Photographs studio objects under supervision of photography staff.
· Documents events or activities as directed by photography staff.
· Organizes film and images
· Produces archival print orders under direction of photography staff
· Assists in keeping the studio organized and the equipment maintained
Additional Information:
· Occasional field trips as assignments.
· Possible projects in advertisement photography.
· Publication photography done by intern can be used in their portfolio.
Qualifications:
At least one year as a student in an accredited photography program. Recommendation by their instructor as a responsible and knowledgeable photographer. In order to receive any college credit the student must meet the hourly requirements set by their school.
