Draper Museum of Natural History
NATURALIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROJECT INTERN
Overview: Introduces the student to communicating science and natural history information to the public in an informal, museum environment.
Based in the Draper Museum of Natural History, which focuses on the relationships between humans and nature in the Greater Yellowstone Area.
Level of Responsibility:
Reports to: Curator. Draper Museum of Natural History and Interpretive Specialist, Buffalo Bill Historical Center
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Create persona of B. A. Ware, the DMNH Naturalist-in-Residence
· Present five (5) 20-minute object-based programs of your choice topic(s) daily
· Walk through Draper Museum exhibit galleries answering questions and providing information to visitors

·Training is provided
Qualifications:
· Enrollment in accredited college/university curriculum in any field of natural science, natural resource management, or interdisciplinary studies involving human relationships with nature
· Familiarity with basic natural history of Greater Yellowstone region
· Genuine desire to communicate science and natural history to the public
