About the Project |
|
The Cody Firearms Museum is one of the largest and most important collections of American and European firearms to be found in the United States. The objects in the collection chronicle the technological development of firearms from the earliest incarnations to the most modern forms. The Cody Firearms Museum Digital Collection features firearms, accoutrements and ephemera from our museum that trace the history of firearms. Winchester, Browning, Hawken, Olin Corporation, Colt - all of the American manufacturers are represented, as well as European models, and some of the earliest incarnations of firearms dating back to the 16th century. We also offer the Cody Firearms Museum Records Service, which secures information about individual firearms – an invaluable service for firearms collectors. With a Cody Firearms Museum membership, the factory letters are greatly discounted or free. Please keep visiting this digital gallery, as this is an ongoing project with the regular addition of new records and images. |
